Because they need no room to swing back, sliding gates suit short driveways, sloped blocks, and openings where a swing gate would get in the way of a parked car or rising ground. Manual versions lock with a mortise lock, and automated gates run on a Centsys D5 motor with mains, low voltage, or solar power.
Swing Driveway Gates
Swing gates open on hinges like a traditional gate, as a single or double leaf. White PVC swing gates carry the same height as your fence panels and are made up to 1800mm wide to suit a 3600mm double gate opening. Wider, taller, or irregular gates are built on an aluminium frame and powder coated to match the rest of your fence. Swing gates suit flat driveways with clear space behind the opening, and they give the classic entrance look most homeowners picture. A key lockable latch comes as standard, with self closing hinges on pedestrian gates and metal hinges on larger driveway gates. Automation runs on a Centsys Vantage 500 opener, single or double.
Sliding or Swing, Which Suits Your Driveway
The right choice comes down to space and ground. If the driveway is flat with clear room for the gate to swing back, a swing gate keeps the entrance consistent with a white PVC fence. If space is tight, the driveway slopes, or the opening is wide, a sliding gate is the safer fit, because it needs no clearance behind the gate.
