Privacy

Alternating vertical boards create partial screening. Visibility changes with viewing angle — private from the front, open airflow from the side.

Safety
1.5m height suits front yards and garden dividers. Semi-open design allows casual supervision of children and pets while defining the boundary.
Noise reduction
Open board design allows more sound through than solid panels. Best suited for quiet streets and low-traffic areas.
Durability
Individual PVC boards — UV-stabilised, moisture-proof. No warping, no splitting, no repainting even in humid coastal conditions.
Aesthetics
Alternating board pattern creates depth and shadow play throughout the day. Modern, relaxed look for front yards, gardens, and side boundaries.
Strength
Lower height and open design reduce wind load significantly. One of the most wind-resistant options in the range. Aluminium-reinforced posts and rails.

Overview

Philippa alternating semi-privacy fence gallery corner boundary view by Queensland Fencing Specialists

The Philippa uses alternating 75mm and 38mm pickets spaced roughly 30mm apart to create a fence that screens without enclosing. The staggered widths give the panel a distinctive rhythm — more visual depth than a uniform picket fence, with enough spacing to let light and air move through. At 150cm, it suits front yards, pool surrounds, garden boundaries, and any setting where you want definition without a solid wall.

Three aluminium-reinforced rails (top, middle, and bottom) lock the pickets into a rigid 241cm-wide panel. The Philippa uses 101.6×101.6mm (4×4) posts — lighter than the 5×5 posts used by the taller privacy range, making it quicker to install and easier to handle. Matching single and double gates are available from 1m to 3.6m.

A pattern that catches the eye

The Philippa’s alternating picket widths create something most fences don’t — visual texture. Wide and narrow boards repeat across the panel in a clean, rhythmic pattern that looks intentional and distinctive, setting it apart from standard uniform picket or privacy fences.

With ~30mm gaps between pickets, the Philippa provides effective screening at angles while letting light and breeze pass straight through. PVC won’t rot, rust, warp, or attract termites — and the white finish stays bright with nothing more than an occasional hose-down.

Light posts, fast build

The Philippa runs on 101.6mm (4×4) posts — lighter and easier to handle than the 127mm posts used by the taller privacy range. Each 241cm panel slots into pre-routed posts with pickets locking into three rails. No specialist tools, no welding, no complex assembly.

Single and double gate kits are available from 1m to 3.6m, built with the same alternating picket pattern for a consistent look across your entire fence line. Everything arrives flat-packed and ready to assemble on site.

Built for Australian conditions — front and back

UV-stabilised vinyl resists fading and discolouration year after year, even in direct sun. The open picket design reduces wind load compared to solid panels, so the fence handles gusty conditions without the stress that a full privacy panel would absorb.

Aluminium-reinforced rails keep every panel straight and rigid. Customers across Australia report their PVC fences looking like new after years of sun, coastal salt air, and heavy rain — no painting, no staining, no replacing warped or rotted boards.

Street appeal with a lighter touch

The Philippa adds definition and character to a property without the visual weight of a solid fence. Its alternating pattern creates a clean, contemporary look that works equally well across front boundaries, side returns, and garden settings.

At 150cm, it’s the right height for front-yard boundaries where council height limits apply, and for pool areas where you need compliant screening that still lets you see the garden. The clean white PVC finish ties the fence into any style of home — from Queenslander to modern render.
